Voters clear on tax proposals
 
By Sarah Nagem, Staff Reporter Johnston County - Voters sent a clear message to county leaders on Tuesday - they don't want more taxes.

A referendum on a land-transfer tax failed miserably, with more than 10,000 voters against the tax and fewer than 2,000 in favor of it. (Link to Herald-NC.com article)
